Contrary to popular belief, Cathy is not my ex-wife. I hope she's gone too and will watch the obituaries.

They will choke back production to provide a reasonable amount of production that satisfies nominations (state regulation) and doesn't damage the well. You probably know that simply producing a well at or near the maximum it will do, is damaging and eventually the flow will diminish and the well will "water-out".

The oil from this field is 46 degree gravity which is premo stuff. I'm sure it virtually looks like gasoline coming from the well. Consequently, any water that is produced with the oil should easily separate just by letting the emulsion sit in a tank for a few hours.

At 300 bbl/day, this would require two tankers a day to keep the oil from over-flowing the battery tanks. Each tanker carries 180 bbls. per load. The tanks would have "load lines" on them allowing the truckers to suck oil from about 3 or 4 feet off the bottom of the tank (above the water). The water is drawn-off periodically and trucked to disposal.

Disposal of the produced water is not expensive. Here in Alberta the cost is about $5.00 for a cubic meter ($0.80/barrel). WT has their own disposal well is my understanding.

Regards, AL.
