In working on the VB prog "LoadingASymbol" I have noticed that of the symbols I have tried (GE, IBM, DD, T, etc.) that only records >= 04/01/1998 are retrieved by the LoadSymbol Function. One exception to this is Dell which retrieves 04/04/1996 then 04/01/1998 thru current date.

Also, I'm getting 0's for open interest in all of the ones I've tried.


You're not getting the disk buffer. Either the directory wasn't passed on the init function, or it doesn't exist, or it's a typo.

Open interest does not exist for stocks and indexes. It only exists for commodities.
