Doug Robertson E-Mailed me this reply to my question about the tight hole status and lack of information regarding Strachan.(07/22/98) It might be of some interest but mostly old information.

Enclosed please find part of a First Star release which was sent out
yesterday.

At the ACL et al Strachan 3-22-38-9W5, an initial test on one of the
potential pay zones has been completed. The well will remain under tight
hold status until late September. Full evaluation of the potential of the
Strachan prospect is not expected for several months.

Unfortunately there is still little which can be said concerning the
Strachan well but let me highlight a bit anyway. The tight hole status has
been imposed by partners to reduce the competition at the up coming land
sales (August until the end of September). The initial testing of the well
yielded gas as per our expectations. The partners have decided to do
additional work on the initial zone which should occur within the next 2-3
weeks depending on AEUB permits, service rigs, and service availability.

Partners are negotiating with each other as to the location of the next
well. I would guess that the stock market will become active again for all
of the companies when the additional work commences in 2-3 weeks.
