Jury, DJ et al,

>"I have a lot of problems with my recent broker (CompuTEL) - "normally" they're "limiting customers to 100 contracts", whatever this means. MRK? I don't know too. Yesterday I tried to buy - today I'm happy that CompuTEL has rejected my order. (sparing me 15k...) However, I'd like to get timely and safe executions one time again. It's the question if we have a short breathtaking or a real correction."

I have had consistently excellent service and response times with Ameritrade, with only obscure exclusions (e.g. no stop limits on Dell or AOL options.) I have had less service from DATEK, who fairly regularly miscalculates my buying power and cancels orders, which has cost some large gains. They make the excuse that some other older buy order which has been cancelled is still on the books. I keep two accounts online because every once in a long while the server will go down on one or the other, and I do not wish to be locked out of all trading.

>"Intel is expensive, I agree. Nobody knows why Intel and Pfitzer could rescue today a bit - or do you know why?"

Intel is already beaten down, and the "weak hands" have been shaken out (including me.) Pfizer continues to sell Viagra by the ton. On the other hand, today's "performance" was down. (Pun?) I think that it dropped in sympathy with MRK.

>"Your dual citizenship is new for me - so far I thought it was impossible to have a second citicenship when you're US-citicen."

It is rare, and can occur only if you are born in the U.S., becoming a U.S. instantly and automatically and the other country is neutral. If you become a U.S. citizen upon immigration, you must relinquish all foreign citizenship. Switzerland, as a neutral country, made the arrangements for dual citizenship in 1860, and reconfirmed it with a memo of understanding in 1954. Most children of foreign parents cannot be dual citizens even if born in the U.S. Dual citizenship was theoretically more interesting in a cold war world, when you could go to a communist country as a Swiss. I only used it once, to go to Yugoslavia. It's no problem with a U.S. citizenship, now.

>"BTW - are you invested in Swizzerland-stocks?"

Not at the moment. Nestle and Novitas look good, but MRK and PFE look better than Novitas, and I just don't know the financial conditions well enough. I would be interested in your input.

Ciau, alle mitenande,

Marc
