Market forecast: October crash coming! The market usually goes up for a least a couple of days after options expiration. Especially during earnings! The pattern that the market is showing now is similar to 1987. In '87, the market peaked in July, rallied weakly in Aug and Sept, then CRASHED in mid-October. I'm predicting there will be weak rallies in the beginning of Aug and after Labor Day, but these rallies will be offset by declines in the 2nd half of the same 2 months, followed by a sharp decline in mid-Oct, probably with news explaining that the Asian weakness and its repercussions are more serious than they expected. Therefore, the latter half of this year will be relatively flat compared to the first half. I know everyone is going to disagree with this forecast, but like I said many times before, let's just wait and see!
