Bob,
This "violent games are a narcotic" stuff is old news (bet you read it in USA Today?) and just so much political rhetoric. You're right, politicians love this sort of thing. It makes them look good as they skin us alive on other issues. If politicians could find a way around the game writers 1st amendment rights they would have by now but they can't. This type of thing has been going on for years now and about all I can see is the government, as usual, provides the game makers with free advertising and great press. As long as TV continues to promote the violent programming they do, I imagine that an animated video game has little to worry about.
