*AV*--I am not sure how to put this but the Nikon system might be the system of choice made better by exchange rates but ASMLF is trying real hard in the non Japanese sector and may have issues in other SEA countries as you suggest. In the US and Europe, I think performance or perception of performance has a tendency to override exhange rates. There is more to a stepper than just $$$. Technical. Applications, and Field Service support are extremely important. This human factor is probably factored into the equation quite heavily.

Exchange rate may be providing a slight competitive advantage but slight.

Relative value of ASMLF looks better to me right now even though CYMI should be kicking butt. I think we have evil forces pushing down ASMLF these days to allow for some nice block purchases for a qtr or 2 doen the road. I think ASMLF will go up 15-20% before CYMI makes that type of % move.
