Re: Conf Call

I thought the call went well. Absolutely no hype, unlike past calls with Seamens. They did not say anything that could get them in trouble later. Of course that's the stuff we probably wanted to hear.

I think they summed it up pretty well regarding ADSL and Westell.
The market is not recognizing Westell because it is not recognizing
ADSL. It was suppose to happen awhile ago and did not. Therefore
everyone discounts it as NOT going to happen. Cable is being talked
about everywhere and has the attention of the street. Westell believes that this will change going into the fall and the rest of the year. They expect a momentum shift towards ADSL as BEL roles out deployment. MZ sounded very confident of this.

The way I take it is, the street still doesn't believe that ADSL will ever happen while Westell knows it is going to happen this fall.

Ziont's believes the JPC will need additional vendors and also believes that WSTL and DSC have a good shot at the BEL DMT contract since they are the incumbents. He also stated that BEL has a plan to double the 1999 deployment numbers to 10 million.

So, they are in a pretty good position, all we need is the rollout
we've been waiting forever for. Looks like it's this Fall.

Regards,

Dave
