Maybe I'm naive but could you explain what the Year 2000 has to do with an elevator going up and down and opening and closing it's doors?
Unless it's in a 2000 floor building and when the '99 rolls over to '00 and you are sent hurling to your death on the ground floor I can't imagine why that would be a concern. Are elevator events timed or pre-planned?

Just curious?
