this is one time i'm glad to say that i'm wrong. lsi made their numbers. conference call sounds good. i think the future has a good feel to it. how many semi companies out there have a 1 to 1 book to bill in this horrible environment. what will the b to b be in good times. the company feels like a pretty safe bet at these levels. might be a little boring for a while but i can live with that. the other thing that felt was good was they didn't guide the forward numbers down very much. yes they did say the next quarter will be flat, but that is not bad compared to what other semi and semi equipment companies are saying. for example klic said when they reported their numbers that the next quarter numbers were way to high, earnings will be greatly lower than estimates, head count has to be slashed by 15% across the bored, etc. you don't get that feel of panic was LSI. that is a good feeling to have during trying times.
