SCSI vs ATA

I've been reading up on SCSI drives.

storagereview.com --click on 'database' to compare
drives and read about a specific drive.

Storage Review has high regards for:(MARCH ARTICLE - outdated now?)
Quantum Viking(4.5g) - 5 yr Warranty $165
Seagate Hawk(4.5g) - 3 yr Warranty and a little quieter. $229

They recommend these two as the bang for the buck.
Anyone's thoughts between the two?

Totally Awesome wants me to use the IBM DDRS 4.5g for $267
I can't find any reading on this one.

----------
I've compared the SCSI to the ATA using storagereview
and the IBM Deskstar 8 actually compares pretty well to
the SCSI. Anyone's thoughts on comparing SCSI to ATA?
Is the extra price for gig worth it and the extra price
for the scsi controller?

I guess the big question is would I visually
notice a difference for stock trading? What would be
the benefits of SCSI vs ATA?

----------

SCSI controller adds some extra price.
I would purchase the ASUS P2B -SL motherboard
which has a built in Adaptec scsi controller and
a built in Intel ethernet card. Current price is $328
at ESC tech.

S.W.
