I think it was last year that Boardwatch magazine had some commentary on dry copper. I was gonna dig up the article but their back issues link is down until 8/1. I can't remember the details but the story had to do with the RBOC's like US West shutting those capabilities down.
It was a good article, I wish I could post it. :-(
