Here's a couple of recent news items about Macromedia which weren't picked in Yahoo News.

July 19, 1998

Internet Movie Sites Getting Cooler by using Macromedia's Flash to spice up their sites. Macromedia executive reports that Sony and Disney are now using the Flash trailers on all their new file sites.

July 21, 1998

Macromedia's site will point WEB users to "Paul is Dead" site, www.paulisdead.com (not up until July 27'th). Other portal partners at launch include Rolling Stone and Entertainment Asylum (both on America Online), IUMA (the Interactive Underground Music Archive), Broadcast.com, Mindspring, and Web-TV. Series funded by the Microsoft Network and produced in association with MGM Interactive.

The article does not specify what kind a streaming format they will use, but it's hard to believe MACR would be a portal partner if Flash were not being used.
