Wendy: I live in Ontario, have ICM, and IIA doesn't have a deal with Bell Canada, which is the local phone service provider here. I think we both are connected to ICM directly, without any intervening Telco. It's my understanding that the whole of North America is connectable to some form of ICM ,right now, directly to ICM, via their web site. IIA has chosen to enlist the regional phone companies, because they feel they will get more customers that way. The local phone company can publicize ICM in their web sites and with notices accompanying phone bills etc. As Marc and I discussed recently, some form of advertising on popular internet sites, calling attention to the existence of ICM and praising its benefits is another way to get customers, and I think that this approach could well be used once all the RBOC agreements in the US and Canada are in place.

Cheers,

Don
