Edward,

<< However, I now feel we are getting very close in firing back at the cable companies. Just look at all the hype they have been getting >>

I have a long position in WSTL and believe it will see much higher prices. Nevertheless I do not share your point of view. Cable companies are not getting just a hype. Here are the facts:

1. the customer base is near 400,000 by the end of 1998
2. ATT is buying TCI and Timewarner is offering the wholesale to
ATT or any other LD company for their cable lines
3.Coax is much better then twisted pair for high bandwidth
4.Cable companies prices are much more attractive to consumers
and small businesses

These are the facts, not hype. If Baby Bells see it the same way I do they will try to buy cables rather then spending money on the ADSL deployment.
