Cymer is in trouble. Nikon and Canon have both decided to avoid Cymer's 2khz machine and go with the Komatsu 2khz laser. The reason: Komatsu ships 2 months ahead of Cymer and costs 30ess. Reason #2: Nikon, Canon, and ASM have grown weary of poor service from Cymer and have decided to pursue other avenues. From the customer: Cymer still hasn't waken up to this problem after being warned time and again. Cymer is still in heavy Reactionary/Panic Mode Management and can't stick to future plans. Employee defections: Cymer has been losing top talent people in the past few weeks. Cymer announced they were cutting back and this summer will be closing for a week and FORCING employees into vacation taking during that time. Look for more people, read "TOP TALENT", to leave.
