How exactly do you know that Jesus performed miracles?

I read the page you linked me to, which is written by a Muslim. Did you know that even Muslims believe Jesus performed miracles (although not the resurrection)?

If the miracles and resurrection of Jesus were made up by the writers of the Gospels, why did the disciples and many other witnesses to Jesus preach the Gospel across nations and die because they wouldn't admit that Jesus wasn't the Son of God? MANY people had a tremendous faith that Jesus was the Son of God and were willing to die for it. If the miracles were false as well as the resurrection, why did the disciples and the many other Jewish Christians know that Jesus was God?
