Bob:

This is not the appropriate thread for a prolonged debate, so I will link your response to the NTBK thread and respond briefly ( and finally) here.

I think the advantages of the low cost producer are, eventually, overwhelming.

There is very little brand loyalty by consumers towards banks. Banks continue to alienate their customers as they try to oligarchilize their markets.

The ATM (convenience in general) issue you raise is real, I think, and that is a cost that needs to be added to the NTBK model.

I think one can as well buy a loan portfolio as generate one, if one is a smart buyer, to supplement loans booked on-line.

As I've written on the NTBK thread, I think there exists an opportunity for local internet banks, in order to address the marketing/advertising cost and convenience issues. exchange2000.com exchange2000.com

Please join the NTBK thread, we need some critical input. exchange2000.com

Thanks, Peter
