Grimmy,
I didn't hear many Bears questioning the possibility of a good number on the btb. In fact, I heard much more bullish chatter about 1.2 possibilities, yet the street consensus of 1.14 was pretty much on target and factored into the current prices.
MU earnings are a different story, as Kurlack's .19 must seem ridiculous even to the most bullish proponents. Understanding what lofty DRAM prices his calculations were based on goes a long way towards explaining the laughing it currently generates from us. I'm assuming they'll eek out a few pennies, but I've already thrown out the forward p/e multiples on this stock assuming unrealistically bullish numbers like $1.00 for 1997.
You're huge surge predictions keep falling flat on their face, but there is no denying the upward grind in place currently. An earnings induced dose of reality is on it's way, so enjoy the trend while you got it!
BTW, if you are using this forum to document ideas for future business possibilities, why do you hide behind a psuedonym? Wouldn't it make sense to come clean on your identity and reap the rewards of your prognostications?
Should be an interesting day tomorrow. Anyone tracking the semi's on Instanet?

As ever,

Peter Shaw
