Phil, interesting article to say the least. But when dealing with any company it is always
better to get them to answer directly to questions that have been raised. I gave Struthers a
call yesterday and asked them to answer these questions. I was more than satisfied with
what I heard. The following is their answers to the points raised in the article.

1. Struthers' herd is the only pure English Large White of it's size in Canada. All their
animals can be traced back to their origin of Great Britain with no other influence of any
other breed in Canada. Struther's main focus is the perfection of their proprietary "Swine
Embryo Transfer".

2. Almost every company large or small, public or private go through some sort of
financially trying times. Struthers Inc. in common with most companies is not immune
from these situations. The separating factor between companies is management's ability
to overcome these obstacles.

3. The agreement with the University of Guelph is a confidential one between Struthers
and the University. Legal agreements with the University will now and in the future
remain confidential because of the cutting edge technology that is involved.

4. Only limited details on the deal with China were available, however, since then the
agreement has been finalized and we can expect a News Release shortly. Also, the herds
in fact do qualify 100% for export.

These answers were obtained with a simple phone call to the company. And I would
suggest that when doing your Due Diligence on this or any other company a good place to
start is with the company itself. Mr. Romahn himself identifies that details are unknown
generally and that Struthers is very vague as to details. Struthers has purposely avoided
technical details to protect the sensitivity surrounding trade secrets in the technology and
the total direction of the company. I myself have not followed Jim Romahn but, the
article seemed very one sided to me and at best speculative. I myself realize that Struthers has had some failures in the past but, they have also had some very good successes which can not be over looked. The future for Struthers in MHO looks a lot brighter than this article would have you believe.

Regards,

RAK
