Hi there, Alberta Energy were hunting for oil targets and came across kimberlite indicators. They spoke to Pure Gold and Ashton and BINGO, we have a JV. It is a little more than that but I can' remember all the details without doing some digging myself into my files. No, No, Aber would not merge with Pure Gold. A joint venture would be possible or a complete buyout by any senior is possible. Aber is a wild guess! Chris Jennings from Southernera is does not yet think to much on Alberta and is busy with South Africa and I think they are out for any possible JV or buyout. Debeers is already involved with Troymin in a JV deal and will probably wait for their results before they even consider other players. Kennecott could be a possibility re JV. As for takeover, Ashton can afford to buy them. They have enough money in treasury they can use or issue one Ashton share for every five or six existing shares of Pure Gold. Why Not! Happy trading! Frank
