Jane, it's not hard to see why God expecially loved David. Hebrews 11 tells us it is faith that "turns God on." David had faith!!! He indeed was "all man" with plenty of male hormones, but it was the "faith" baby!!! Without faith, it is impossible to please God. How many young ladies or lads could take on an armored Goliath like David did? His brothers didn't believe he could, but they hadn't reckoned what he had done being a common shepherd boy, loving nature, and seeing God in so much of it - daily dialoguing with God brought about tremendous faith in him. If you look at my warts, I've more than my share. I suspect if I were to look at your warts, I'd see the same amount - and so it is with David - BUT He had the faith, baby. Old Man Barney
