I cannot believe even ZAP would be crazy enough to buy PPOD. Sounds like a non-rumor to me (i.e., someone's daydreaming).

Now, if someone wanted to come along and buy PPOD for say $1.5 or 2 billion, that would be satisfactory. :-)

I think adding VanStekelenburg to the PPOD board is quite an interesting move, given his past ties to Royal Ahold, owners of Stop & Shop and also Giant Foods, both of which have deals with PPOD.

Personally, I'd like to see a deal between Intuit and Peapod, long-term. Given the way banking and groceries have teamed up in realspace, I think it's inevitable that personal finance and groceries will team up in cyberspace.

Just my opinion.
