Scrapps, sorry so late in getting back to you. Watched the first few hours then took off for town for a BBQ/laundry/food run. Such is life in the country. Didn't figure I'd miss much, see that all we had was an end-of-week relief rally. Market rallied half hour after your post (for an hour) then flat-lined the rest of the day. Consequently, the 25 I am watching picked up some, and only 13 ended down for the day. How are the 25 on your watch list doing? Sorry I have to ask. Thoughts while tooling down county Hwy 6: There is something VERY right about America, maybe the high (historically) stock valuations ARE justified. Perhaps it is just the high this city boy (born/raised) gets with rock music blasting and corn on one side and cows on the other. A child of the depression, youth during WW II, life living under the shadow of "the bomb", one can only ask: Where is the 70% IRS rates under IKE? Where are the 20% interest rates under Carter? It has been SO good for SO long, why doesn't something go wrong? Are bear markets (15-30% decline) like the last one in '87 a thing of the past? What happened to the business cycle, now it just goes from good to not-as-good. I've had to make a lot of adjustments in my stock trading/investing during the last 36 years but the last 3 have been extremely difficult. All the rules have been thrown out, the unwritten ones as well as the written ones. o~~~ O
