Rob, Nobody better to post to today. I'll be doing some golf at a pro-am this weekend (I'll be the am)...so I will be away. I know that David and others will be looking for FAA money earmarked for Airport Cargo Security.......I hope they find some. This would be very outstanding. I believe that the FAA believes that it is very, very important to know exactly who is delivering the boxes that will be placed on commercial jet airplanes. I believe this project was one of the biggest reasons IDX bought BAT last year. If the O'Hare pilot is taken nation-wide....it would dwarf any contract IDX has ever received. Anyhow....Here is a little gut check.... IDX is still 1/2 point below the mid point of It's 12 month high/low. The earnings come out Tuesday....after the close...to be followed by the conference call. Everyone should listen to the conference call playback. Very important to those who would be a buyer or a seller. The mean estimate is 3 cents....I believe the whisper number is 2.8 cents. IDX has never met or beaten estimates as far back as I can remember.......I think it would be great if they hit the 3 cents....but don't believe they will. I think the conference call will be much more important. If you hear the type of information that might lead analysts to estimate a high number for Q1 and for the year.......Then there may be a real chance to pick up some IDX on the cheap Wednesday morning.....especially if IDX misses estimates by a penny or two. Listen for news on big contracts......reductions in SG&A......reductions in legal expenses.......and of course the mood of the call in general. And as you are doing this......Keep in mind that many are not aware of the fact that an insider bought $140,000 of IDX stock on the open market in April........A purchase that tripled his holdings. I believe that you will find that this guy is the ASCOM guy on the IDX board of directors. I know some folks really like this type of stuff....so this one should not be overlooked. biz.yahoo.com I have not checked my Astro-Technical Chart yet......but I will....and I believe it will say that given the choice of higher or lower....we go higher. Hoping you sold me those options last week....... bg ps. 1996 annual report has Fred Sutter listed as on the board of directors and " Former president and CEO of ASCOM Holding AG."
