I think it would depend on what price the 500k was placed at. If it was a Market Order and they had the shares to spare, heck yeah they would jump their price before filling that order. Do you know how many times I've had MM's make me chase a stock when buying with a limit order! That is why Market Order's are filled first. Than limit orders are filled, if you meet their criteria.

Let me tell ya I love technical stuff anytime ya want to talk about shoot away. Cause If I have a question I will do the same. :)

Now this is just my opinion but tell me what ya think please. Most everyone you chat with on the boards consider the MM's as evil. Actually they are investor/trader's just like ourselves except one difference. Their intentions are public knowledge to us. This is a powerful tool. Let me give you an example: Let's say you have a stock trading at .13 and the next day .15 and the next day .135 and the next .15. Most people would post the MM's are trading amongst themselves. Or manipulating the price.

What I see is close to what you were asking. Everytime you saw a jump to .15 was caused by a Market Buy so they jumped the price. They then lower the price hoping to shake that investor's shares loose, but that investor does not sell and another order comes in by Market. Boom back to .15 again. Same thing happens on and on.

Finally no one sells and the stock reaches a new base of .15.

My point being this example stock was really under accumulation and most don't even see it. What ya think?
