James,
What do you expect the trading range in next week, if market is still bearish? (my hunch is 95-127 for amzn if market bearish, 110-130 if otherwise, of course it is so volatile and too many factors)
You talk of Vinik (former Fidelity?) who manages some fund and buy Amzn now, then he must buy at low and sell at high, then short and ride down, or you imply that he will make big block buy at certain time for short squeeze to make big gain? What happens to his strategy if some insiders/employees/acquired firms start to sell some of their stocks?
Most funds long/short or only some funds like BEARX/USRA short, the rest only long due to the prospectus to clients.
Thanks
