go to the electronic traders association web site. There is a local one in your area . Minimums are coming down quick , but to make a decent living daytrading you need to have around $20,000 I've heard to make money . Yes , what you said is true about what it 5 yrs. ago , but we only get what we demand as far as service goes. I don't remember but I've seen some web sites with around $2000 min that supply some pretty good trading software (real time some w/LII charting but no directing of the trades) w/o the monthly fees etc. although that isn't a problem with some of the online brokerages if you do 50 or more trades a month . I have the site bookmarked on my other computer that's in the shop , if I can remember I will send you a message when I get it back . All I am saying is that when you pay a premium price to trade w/ Waterhouse ( compared to some of the others) you should expect good connections and to not get booted off line every 5 min. and you shoudln't even have to worry about your quote status and having to buy quotes . I like and have been with Waterhouse for along time , but they need to commit to online brokerage and keep up with the technology or someone else better will steal there market share in a moment . There are alot of people trying to start internet brokerages as we speak. So Waterhouse needs to wake up and smell the roses. This is an opportunity for them to improve , a challenge to be the best they can be.... Best of Luck w/ all your investing . I'll get back with you on that website. richard
