Dr Michael Pezim reports
Haddington has begun exploration at its three Ogden Township and Thornelow
Township properties 30km west-southwest of Timmins, Ontario. The company is
earning a 50% interest from Noront Resources on each of these three properties.
A program of linecutting, magnetometer and VLF-EM geophysical surveying is in
progress. The Ogden North property is in the immediate area and along strike of
claims being actively explored for gold by Echo Bay Mines. From historical
records of the Ogden North property, a 1978 induced polarization anomaly and
three zones of gold mineralization intersected in one 1968 wildcat drill hole on the
flank of the IP anomaly indicates the untested gold exploration potential of the
area.
Haddington and 50% partner, Silverstone Resources, have made the final option
payment on the Kaltwasser property in Sheraton Township, 5km southeast of
Cross Lake's recent massive sulphide discovery and 50km southeast of Timmins,
Ontario. A strongly pyritic felsic volcaniclastic unit has been traced across the
Kaltwasser property over a 1.1km strike length. Shallow reconnaissance drilling
on this unit has intersected the pyritic felsic unit which contains locally elevated
concentrations of zinc, copper and gold as reported previously.
Haddington and Silverstone have terminated their joint option to acquire a 100%
interest in the adjoining property in Timmins Township.
Haddington is continuing to pursue financing arrangements for its exploration
programs in the Timmins region of Ontario.
