Trapping squirrels.

<Do you have to use this trapping method yearly?>

It seems like we have a squirrel population explosion about every 2-3 years and I have to do a lot of trapping over a period of 3 or 4 weeks. If we don't, they wreck up the garden and try to get into the attic of the house and also make the most amazing mess in our garage which is not totally squirrel proof. Red squirrels are rather horrendous compared to other squirrels I think. I've seen them go into the bird houses and pitch baby birds out onto the ground. They have made nests of pinecones on top of the engine of my truck all around the fuel injector, and packed pinecones in around the engine under the hood of the riding lawnmower. Truly lovable little creatures.

Sure am glad the neighbor's cats have taken such a liking to them this year... ;-}>
