OFF TRACK, but re methods of checking out a company.... A long time ago when I was in the marketing consulting business, we often had to check out one of our clients' competitors. There is a very good book which details lots of things like what you mentioned. "The New Competitor Intelligence: the complete resource for finding, analyzing, and using information about your competitors" by Leonard M Fuld. John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 1995 (may be a newer version?) ISBN 0-471-58508-4 hardback. ISBN 0-471-58509-2 trade paperback. I have the trade paperback version marked $24.95. It sits on the shelf right above my computer monitor. JSb.
