From the last AT&T earning release on July 23, 1998:

During the second quarter, the company announced extensive cross-marketing agreements with top Internet search engines companies, including Lycos, Excite, Yahoo! and Infoseek. Visitors to each of these sites are now able to make on-line purchases of AT&T communications services. These sites will also offer AT&T's new IP-communications applications such as anonymous voice chat and click-to-dial directories. The first of these services, AT&T Chat-n-Talk and AT&T Click-2-Dial (SM), were introduced on June 29,1998. Additionally in the second quarter, AT&T announced an agreement with Checkfree that will enable AT&T customers to view and pay their communications bills via the Internet.

To me sounds like CF is in Internet business.
