Todd, if these games are delay. GKM is really not that stupid to say H2 net income to be roughly the same as H1.
1) they have to consistently to make the estimate on the low side so THQ can easily beat it.
2) higher tax rate and GameFX payroll will decrease net profit margin slightly. GameFX will not contribute to THQI until 1999 H1.
3) 69% of revenue is contributed by WCW titles in H1. Although we have even more WCW titles in H2 in addition to potential hits like Rugrats, Bass Master (PC), Penny Racer, Devil Dice, Red Jack..., there is nothing wrong to speak conservatively.
In conclusion, McGowan is "stupid" but not "very stupid".

- "Ghost in the Shell" is excellent PSX title, I don't see any objection.
- "Vs" is sucks, I don't even bother to find out others opinion but Shiu Lin looks promising.
- "Granstream Saga" and Quest 64 has mix feedback, some say very good, some say average.
- G. Darius should be great, there is not much old good 2D shoot'em up for a while. The only problem is there aren't a lot incentives to "own" this title, many will rather rent it, beat it and return it. Hopefully, Taito will make the game harder to beat.
- I am addicted to Intelligence Qube (after patiently watched the tutorial) and I will definitely rent or buy Devil Dice. Just hope it won't take me 3 hours to learn :o)
- Bass Master should be the greatest fishing game in 1998 and 1999.
I can't find much information about Penny Racer. How's it compare to Mario Kart?
