didn't see your post or wouldn't duplicated it; i guess great minds think alike <g> IMHO the trend in the short interest is more important that the absolute number because a lot of shorts will cover their positions with options it looks like short covering helped this stock rise to the $9.50 in early July chart2.bigcharts.com however i would bet that the short interest have grown since 7/15/98. However a 4 million figure will provide plenty of boost to this stock when a qual at WDC is announced. Hopefully we will have some good news regarding GMR during the WDC CC - like WDC plans to use RDRT's as well as IBM's
