Cosmo, I stand by my previous statement.

NASDAQ has set a deadline by which all BB companies must become reporting companies, and have share prices above $1.

The deadline was set at 1 year, and was set a couple of months ago.

There really aren't any listed companies (Small Cap and National Market) that aren't complying with the rules of reporting. NASDAQ automatically adds an "E" to the symbol after a date has been missed by so many days, and then delists the company after so many more days. There is opportunity for response, etc. but basically a stock can't trade for much more than a couple of months if they miss a report, and even then they'd have better have filed for an extension.

Yes, NASDAQ *has* recently implemented tighter restrictions on National Market and Small Cap stocks. These changes for BB listing are in addition to that. The National market and Small Cap rules are now in place - the BB's still have a bit less than a year to come into compliance.

The world of penny stocks as we know it is going to be radically altered within a year. I suppose the distasteful results will be "electronic pink sheets" run by independent organizations, that might allow these stocks to continue to trade without falling into the obscurity of the pink sheets. Just a speculation on my part - and I hope that if that happens, the SEC steps in with rules to stop it.
