Cymer short interest shows bad signs

From 1/98 to 6/98, CYMI's short interest has already reduced by 50%,
but the stock price has not recovered. The reduction in short interest probably occured during the end of 4/98 run-up (high as 27 1/2).

It looks like many shareholders were willing to sell their shares at a much lower prices.

Or the big money knows something average investor like us don't?
