T.G.W., my fine feathered friend. Good to see you again. You said...
No competition?
I don't understand your question. The word "competition" isn't in my previous post.
And did you notice that the GLOw beta site is only in english?
Really?? Gee, I didn't notice? Of course, I only know a few english words, I thought all those other words I didn't know were Chinese.
And they are not going to do business in the USA?
Uh...news flash, T.G.W. The United States is not the only country to speak english!
Everyone in the rest of the world does not speak english!
That is not a true statement! (For those that are keeping score, it is now 36-0! This is looking like the 1996 Fiesta Bowl - sorry to you Florida Gator fans out there!) I categorically deny the assertion that everyone outside of the United States doesn't speak english. Au contraire, my fine feathered. English is the world's 2nd most prevalent language (right behind Mandarin Chinese). Half a billion people speak English worldwide! sil.org
STARNET ANNOUNCES FOUR NEW INTERNET GAMING LICENSEES
I'm happy for STARNET and its stockholders. However, if I were an independent operator, I would absolutely positively use GLOW's software over STARNET. (And NOT just because I'm a GLOW stockholder!) "Why?" you ask. Because STARNET requires the client to be downloaded...GLOW's client comes with your browser. GLOW's client is thin so upgrades are performed at the server. STARNET requires that a new client patch or version be downloaded and installed everytime there is an upgrade. In other words, given 20 casinos and 10,000 customers, GLOW performs an upgrade at 20 sites, STARNET performs it as 10,020 sites.
Robwin, in case you haven't noticed Red Big and Big whatever know everything about nothing.
I may know everything about nothing, but I DO know a heckuva lot more about our legislative process than Robin (sorry, Robin, for some reason, the "W" key on my keyboard doesn't work). Bills that are submitted to the president for signing must first be approved by both sides of the house in identical form. This is one of the basics of our democracy.

"When the Senate passes a bill that originated in the Senate, it is sent to the House for consideration."
Now, I have provided clear evidence that totally refutes what you and Robin have been maintaining. If you want to take your civic lessons from an uninformed Canadian (not that an uninformed American would be any better - i.e. TGW), then be my guest. I, however, choose to stick with the facts, ma'am, just the facts!
Anything that you say will be responded to in some oblique manner.
I know...I was so "oblique" with my references and discussion of the legislative process.
Can't discuss the truth so its the only thing they can do. I know! I can't discuss the truth...instead, I waste my time citing facts and providing evidence to back up my assertions. I'm so deceitful that way!
PS: Big red whatever will be history after 8/6/98.
Are you counting the days??
He will never shell out the money to legitimately post.
Hey! I am NOT an illegitimate poster!!! My mom and dad were married!!!
He simply does not measure up as a dues carrying member of SI.
I know! I've been trying to get SI to accept my $200 but they just keep telling me, "sorry, you just don't measure up as a dues carrying member of SI." Can you teach me how, TGW? I really admire you and want to be just like you!!
Your All Time Biggest Admirer and Best Bulletin Board Buddy, GO BIG RED!!!
P.S. TGW, have you finished researching your response to my point-by-point post? Isn't there ANYTHING you can poke a hole it? After all, it was a four-page post. Can't you find ANYTHING wrong in those four pages? |
