<If I owned a stock like STVI or ATPX and had the majority of my original capital, I would bail out at the first opportunity and wait for the market's internal dynamics to change.>I would agree with that,Michael,as these are very rough times for low liquidity small cap stocks--but their are other types of investors on this thread who have a near infinite patience to buy and hold, and only time will tell who be right--I myself, overall tend to lack that patience. But I do know the strategy involved in STVI,and that can be seen in its chart--with a mere 300k share float it,when it does move,IF it moves north you get a very quick double--I know Sergio, for instance tries to pin down the next earnings report to take the gamble out--but,yes, these low float stocks are for people adept at picking and choosing-- I myself do like having liquidity. Regards,Ken W.--if Ken wants to say that,he is welcome to--I know people are right now disappointed about the ATPX IR department lately--I myself have a holding in STVI at 7&1/8 cost/basis and am in inner debate as whether I continue to hold or not as I doubt that I have the proper personality to play a waiting game with a low float stock--this is free society here Michael BTW,Michael have any thoughts on CPQ,as a longterm investment? As I am collecting opinions on that one. O,yes, one last note---regards ANTX(of which like ATPX I have no holding) the amigos were very explicit that this is a very long term play with all the inherent risks that attend biotech stocks--I myself simply will not buy into a stock with a possible reverse split coming, though ANTX is doing this in an effort to get off the OTC/BB board. But one thing that is absolute regards ANTX,they are a totally legitimate and dedicated scientific research company.Thanks,Max90 |
