That seems reasonable that the market will discount the probable earnings of the year 2000.

In the new issue of PC Week the editor mentions in passing that supply/demand equilibrium for memory chips is expected to be achieved mid 2000. Probably a good forecast but still surprising to see in print that memory prices (and profits) won't firm up for another 2 years! Of course Cymer sell into other markets, but no industry sucks up these photo-litho machines like memory makers.
