Hi Chief. The mining industry was nationalized in Bolivia in 1951 (if wrong, within a year or two). Once foreigners were allowed back in (in the 1990's), the cooperative wouldn't sell out to a major because of the exploitive nature of their operations. When these Mormons came in to do third world development work in Cangalli they were so impressed with the sincerity of putting people before gold that they finally made the deal with them, hence Golden Eagle. I get the feeling the human side of this still comes first at times much to the chagrin of investors who want to cash in as quickly as possible. That's why the company, IMO, doesn't follow the usual rules of "the street" and releases Fridays at the close of market, etc. The company "knows" the gold is there and their day will come.
