Newbies to the net will just see whoever's ad
happens to flash up at the time they want to buy a book and they will click on the link.
Otherwise, they will use Yahoo!, Excite or other to find one out of 100 stores listed. B &
N or Borders may click in their brains because they subconsciously remember driving
past a store that afternoon.


Not only have these people driven through, many have bought in these stores. They know these companies are fine companies. They will trust them.

It is still not a brand recognition type of occurance. The stores are not brands.

BTW, I checked out the book bot and only found similarly priced suppliers - no deep
discounters that I had found on my own searches. Must be price fixing.


I suspect we will se a lot of price fixing on the next due to ease of comparison.
