Greetings Chris, and all who love the Lord Jesus Christ. To answer your question according to the Word of God, No, they are not compatible. We are in the same camp my brother as are All who have received the Lord Jesus Christ. We can " thank " one of our brothers in Christ, Schofield, for his false teachings on " Dispensationalism " for much of this error and false doctrine which violates the Word of God. Chris, I understand the Bible to teach that God has always had " one " people of His own. According to Gen. 12:3 the promise made to Abraham, was that through him ( his lineage- the seed ), ALL the families of the earth would be blessed. This is pointing to the Lord Jesus Christ who would come from the remnant of Israel. As Israel was the chosen race under the Old Covenant ( chosen primarily that through them would come the promised One, Jesus Christ, this was their chosedness) we often see where Gentiles joined themselves with " Israel " to serve the only true God. Israel means by biblical definition, " to be overcome by God ". Jacob best exemplifies this struggle that all the people of God go through, both in Old and New Covenants. At Calvary, God displayed His greatest power by the resurrection of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and accomplished salvation for ALL peoples and nations, thus fullfilling His promise made to Abraham. The Bride, the Church of the firstborn, the Israel of God, the new Jerusalem , was now open to ALL NATIONS AND PEOPLES. No longer does God deal with one nation, as with Israel under the Old Covenant, but now the people of God are those from all nations who have the faith of Abraham in their heart toward the Lord Jesus Christ. The Old Covenant has been transcended by a better and New Covenant, Jesus Christ Himself the administrator. The state of Israel has no special place or position over any other nation on this earth since Calvary. The Old Covenant is obsolete. God deals with ALL PEOPLES the same now and has broken down the barrier between Jew and Gentile by His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are All One in Christ Jesus. Praise His Most Holy Name, forevermore. Sorry Chris for such length. In closing Chris, I really believe that there are many Christians who do not understand the Old Covenant and the reason for a New Covenant. Nice to hear from you Chris, Grace and peace be unto you and your family and the Israel of God. Robert
