<<I'm asking you to build a big mental "firewall" between payment and presentment. On the payment side, CKFR admittedly cannot make it on its own. As you said, retail bill payment couldn't fly without the banks. On the presentment side, however, what is stopping CKFR from building absolutely the biggest, brashest presence it can and offering the most aggressive banks the other side (payment) of the deal?

I believe I see your point. I just feel the current CF strategy is sound. Benny's post about what the consumer wants rings true to me...all in one spot...that's definitely what the folks providing web banking want...that should be what CF wants in the long run.

Lets assume CF did go for the E-Bill equivalent of a digital land grab with a couple of big global banks. They successfully move a few million accounts to the megamonster banks...What impact would that have on the CF relationships with the bankers that weren't cut in in on the deal?

I definitely plan to ask Pete Kight about this topic, assuming we aren't totally preoccupied with reeling in fish.

Buenos noches, amigos.
