Gabard, I have been a lurker for about a year now and have followed some of your picks and done very well. Thank You! I respect your ability to do research and digest what you find out. Also your bio says that you like to gamble, well here's one to gamble with. What do you think about Butler National Corp.(BUKS) As you can see I did the trial member thing and only have 3 posts per day so excuse the length of this post. I have worked in and around the gaming industry for 13 years now and am very familiar with the landscape in Kansas and Oklahoma. But I need some help with stock fundamentals ect. What follows is a summary (lengthy sorry) of the gaming portion of BUKS. Butler National Corp (BUKS), recently they received a favorable court decision, regarding Indian Gaming. The court ruled that the land that the Miami tribe owns is really Indian land and thus can build a casino on the land assuming they can jump through all the hoops. They have a contract to manage gaming for the Modoc tribe in Oklahoma and the Miami tribe in Kansas. They have been mired in court battles for years now but they seem to have turned the corner. The Stables is the Modoc tribes bingo and off track betting facility in Oklahoma. It is supposed to be opening late this month early next month. It has been a money drain for years and should start to bring in some revenue shortly. But, the reason that I own this stock is for the Casino potential in Miami County Ks. Kansas has four other Indian tribes that currently have casino gaming in the state. Harrahs casino which is closest to Topeka is doing very well. I heard that they took in $57 million (I believe this is the drop, they keep 5%-10% of this) in the first 60 days they were open. The Miami (Butler) casino will be close to Kansas City which has a much larger population base but will have more competition from the Riverboats. However an Indian casino will kill the riverboats in the long run because there is no tax. Riverboats pay a 20% tax right of the bat. Also the riverboats have a bunch of mickey mouse rules, bet limits, boarding times and tokens. Indian casinos don't pay taxes, you can walk right 24 hrs a day and put cash in the machines. Gaming is not Butlers only business they also have an aerospace division ,temporary employment division and used to have a money losing food division. They made money for the first 3 quarters of the year and are trading at about $.50 cents am I missing something here this stock should be back above $3 dollars in the near future.
