That's an old old doctrine, Jane called antinomianism. The more you sin, the more God's grace abounds!!!
Frankly, I guess I am out of "touch" not having heard any David stuff as you describe it. I go to a church that preaches the old-fashioned gospel, according to the Word - and where people are converted regularly - and as Calvin Coolidge once 'sed when asked what the preacher preached about one Sunday (he'd dozed off the story goes) - being a true politician, he 'sez to his good wife: "He preached on sin." His wife replied: "Well what did he have to say?" And our beloved president, a man of few words 'sed: "He was against it."
That's an appropriate definition of what our Church teaches and preaches. Goes along with the Bible, I do believe.
