While I might agree with your philosophy, the significance of this point is that it is specifically against SI "terms of use" to maintain two accounts.

Recently, several people have been suspended based upon some rather subjective interpretation of the terms of use. In this case, there need be no interpretation as the rule lends itself to a very objective and quantitative decision making process, i.e., more than one account = violation.
