sleazy, dishonest, liar - In my book, these words are libelous. I would warn people to be careful what they say here.
You may be disappointed (or happy) that GTW did not make as much money as you or analysts thought they should. Fine - complain, brag, cry, criticize decisions, etc. But if you are going to make personal accusations about someones honesty, you better have proof.
The facts as I know them: It is an earnings "estimate". Please get out your dictionary and review the definition of the word estimate. If GTW had exceeded earnings by $.01 (or were short by $.01 for that matter), would they be "lying" then as well?
As for "cooking the books", as a CPA, I am sure that many honest accountants at GTW would be very offended by your statement. Please over some proof here if you have any.
