I think war is stupid, and wish no one had to die. On the other hand, I think you vilify Greenpeace activists because you have wrong ideas about them, not because of any reality. They are trying to protect not only our lives, but the survival of our grandchildren, by making the world a sustainable place to live. I have never understood what is so evil about that.
Incidentally, are you aware that many people everywhere consider America the Great Satan? You always write like America and Americans are very popular all over the globe, and somehow superior to other people, from what I can pick up from your posts. But a lot of people in other countries think we are mean, primitive, greedy, unsophisticated, polluting pigs, basically. You know, the Ugly Americans, and all that. And we only get the support of three or four other nations with a lot of our policies about Cuba and Israel, and to a lesser extent, Iraq, whereas global opinion is very different from the homegrown variety. |
