(Off topic) Captain Kirk: In brief, it is more than a few of
the offerings of the Disney subsidiaries, such as Miramax Film
and Hollywood Films, which many, including myself, find to be
quite objectionable and a betrayal of the Disney legacy. The
company tightly clings to its most valuable asset, the wholesome
family entertainment image nurtured carefully by Walt Disney
since the birth of Mickey Mouse in 1928, yet, through its sub-
sidiaries promulgates content quite despicable, if not vile, and
an affront to that cultivated image of wholesomeness. Surely,
it is this Jekyll and Hyde contrariness and hypocrisy which
sticks in the craw of many Disney critics.
