Muji,

I have been monitoring this thread on and off for a little while and thought I might do something out of character and step off the curb briefly.

When considering your frustration with the stock, have you considered any of the following? ....

- The high for Star was over $4.00 around 3-4 years ago (I forget now). The $1.40 is only the 52 week high. This has been a stock in play for a long time. Hundreds of people have been playing in and out of this stock for years but many, many more have been patiently (or not so at times) waiting for it to hit.

- There are over 27 million shares of Star outstanding. I don't see a mass exodus going on here do you?

- Over 6 million shares were traded in a single week about 2-3 months ago (75% or more at 75 cens or higher). Less than 2 million shares have transacted since (almost half of which was under 75 cents). Many large trades were made over that week. Big boys don't play this game to lose.

- Short traders on the Canadian stock exchanges can trade a full 30 days without settling their accounts. This can take a trader with some fairly deep pockets and make them huge. Shorts have been having serious fun with this stock for a long time now.

- Ashton Mining has a world class repution and has sent their best boys after this one. They are itching to stike one big after separating from the great diamond overlord -- DeBeer. They do not put this kind of effort into a losing proposition.

- It is very unlikely that where you find a 40.23 carat diamond (plus many other large diamonds) that you would not find a lot more. If this was a kimberlite mine that was not as well known, a new find of a rock like that would have already sent the stock through the roof.

- History books tell us that over 10,000 carats were already mined out of this very field during some very sporatic mining done over a 15 year period very early in this century. Their processes back then were crude to say the least. How deep do you think they dug in 1910 and where on the site? Where are they digging now and how deep are these trenches? This vent shaft is known to be over 600 feet deep.

still waiting patiently (albeit on the edge of my seat)....

Bob
